EVENTS

Architecture is synonymous with expression. Work nurtured my linguistic and graphic expression. I have been drawing, painting and writing since I remember. Initially, like all others I had a block for sharing my creative work. But expression evolves with time, instilling confidence. I now enormously enjoy sharing the cerebral space with like-minded people at book-reading events – by attending others’ and hosting mine, at solo / group painting shows and theme workshops.

Sangam

Classical Fusion Dance-Music show by Houston local artists, Arya Samaj Hall, Houston-USA, Nov 10, 2010 “The two-hour Classical fusion music-dance show, performed by 15 artists. Each of the seven presentations had novelty and originality. The pieces blended dance forms, live Classical Semi-Classical and light music and intricate instrumental interludes. The dance medley on the theme of ‘Rain’ and the experimental Jugalbandi of Solphian notes and Indian sargam received the heartiest applause. Sangam was my debut as Director and I immensely enjoyed the encounter with my passionate performers some of whom were busy doctors, new mothers, software professionals and high school seniors. Can I praise enough these America-born and raised young artists who absolutely master their craft of singing Raag sargams and Teentaal bols! Hats off to you, friends! Thank you so much!”- Anita
